High mountains hiking paradise

Do you wear sturdy shoes, good all-weather clothing and are you familiar with hiking in the high mountains?

Then you should tackle one of the wonderful hikes on the Mölltal Glacier. The Eissee Trail starts directly at the Eissee Panorama Restaurant and is an ideal excursion for families with children, just like the Duisburger Trail towards the Duisburger Hut. The Glacier Trail, the High Altitude Trail or the traverse to the Kleinfragant require more skill and you should have some mountaineering experience. With the Kärnten Card you get a free ascent and descent once a day in summer (Stollenbahn Gletscher Express & cable car Eissee/without sports equipment).

Operating hours in summer – Mölltaler Gletscherbahnen

The lifts will be operating daily until 15th September 2024.
Summer operating hours will be in effect from 17th June 2024, prior to that, winter operating hours will apply.

daily open from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
first ascent at 8:30am (summer)
last descent with the Glacier Express at 4:30pm (summer)
the lifts are closed in case of bad weather

Maintenance work will take place from 10.09.2024 until around mid-October 2024, resulting in the Mölltal Glacier lifts being out of service during this period.

With the bike on the Mölltal Glacier

Scenic bike tour with mountain railway ascent including bike transport.

This tour starts either directly in the valley area of Flattach, or from the valley station of the mountain railways in Innerfragant. If you wish, you can take the “Gletscher Express” for the first 1,012 metres in altitude and then start at 2,200 metres above sea level. On this high-alpine bike tour up to almost 2,800 metres you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama. This official mountain bike route leads to the panorama restaurant Eissee.
